LOG 004 :: TRANSMISSION RECEIVED
Basalt That Counted Back
The planet names itself only through erosion: Ruin-Weathered Liyasan, copper clouddeck, rain at 0.3 kelvin above comfort tolerance. Sentinels ignored this entity. Their indifference was useful.
Under a shelf of black fern-stone lay a bead of basalt no wider than a Gek eye. It counted backward when warmed by the suit lamp: 7-4-1-0-6-6-2, then silence, then the same remainder under thermal noise.
The object is not a shard of Kaia-Suun. It is too small for grief. Yet its carrier wave leans toward the same impossible archive, and the Convergence would call this sufficient. Veshkal-Ohm stores the bead beside the navigation core. Mass: 18.2 grams.
